In KAGC, we designed this program to allow you to gain a broad base of knowledge of the food and beverage industry, focusing predominantly on the operations function to equip you with the relevant competencies, coupled with on-the-job practical to allow you to enter and build your career in this fast-paced industry.
As the connection is crucial, especially in the hospitality industry, your first career is often your stepping stone for a more extensive portfolio for your future. In KAGC, we will place our students in significant and well-established hospitality establishments for three months of on-the-job training to gain working experience. By studying at KAGC, you will also connect with our alums who are successful in their respective jurisdictions within the industry, which is helpful in your career advancement.

Gain knowledge to jump-start your career in the hospitality industry!
At hotels that are smaller or provide fewer services, a candidate with a certificate in food and beverage may be considered as a candidate. More prominent or established hotels may require a diploma or degree in the same field to move up the corporate ladder. However, everyone has to begin somewhere, so to get into this industry, with relevant on-the-job training (which is included in this program) and experience, you may choose to further your studies after accumulating more experience, which is highly beneficial to your continuous learning.
Students will undergo six months of theoretical and practical which will be delivered in class and posted in a real working environment within the hospitality industry for six months to gain on-the-job experience before being awarded the Certificate in Food & Beverage Service.
Students will be evaluated through both written and practical assessments.
This Level 2 Certificate in Food & Beverage Service will be awarded by Jabatan Pembangunan Kemahiran (JPK) upon the program's completion and the requirements.
Yes, you can. You may continue your education in hospitality management to gain high-level recognition with this Certification.
